This is a really good overview. Along the same line but more in depth, I really like Cody Lindley's JavaScript Enlightenment: http://www.javascriptenlightenment.com/
on “A re-introduction to JavaScript” ↗JavaScript Enlightenment Cody Lindley Helped me a lot.
on “Ask HN: What are the latest and greatest books on your favorite language?” ↗This is a great book. But its more broad than it is specific. Its extremely wide in its purpose. The intention of JavaScript Enlightenment" is to focus in on the nature of objects and the native workings of JavaScript objects. I don't see these books sharing the same purpose.
on “JavaScript Enlightenment eBook has been released” ↗I recently started reading JavaScript Enlightenment. It's great and free: http://javascriptenlightenment.com/

Technical or Not” ↗…Effective JavaScript - High Performance JavaScript - Maintainable JavaScript - Principles of Object-Oriented Programming in JavaScript - JavaScript Patterns - The Past, Present and Future of JavaScript - JavaScript Enlightenment - Secrets of the JavaScript Ninja

on “Ask HN: What's the best programming book you've read recently?” ↗"Javascript Enlightenment" is the book that made me understand the pitfalls you might encounter when you come from another language and you are learning Javascript. I liked it very much. http://www.javascriptenlightenment.com/
on “Ask HN: What are the latest and greatest books on your favorite language?” ↗…Maintainable JavaScript by Nicholas Zakas - The Past, Present, and Future of JavaScript by Axel Rauschmayer - JavaScript Web Applications by Alex MacCaw - Eloquent JavaScript by Marijn Haverbeke - JavaScript Enlightenment by Cody Lindley - Secrets of the JavaScript Ninja by John Resig are there any others worth adding to my reading list or thoughts on these?
on “Ask HN: Recommended JavaScript books?” ↗I'm currently going through Javascript Enlightenment by Cody Lindley. I think in the end you have to re-read lots of the same topics cause one author's way of phrasing certain things will 'click', and then another author's will add on to the 'click'.
on “Ask HN: Learning to write good JavaScript” ↗Yet another option, if you are experienced with other languages and want to learn JS: Javascript Enlightenment [1]. It only focuses on the concepts that make Javascript different from (let's say) Java. Note: this is a pre-ES6 book. [1]: http://www.javascriptenlightenment.com/JavaScript_Enlightenm...
