For combinatorics, I highly recommend Miklos Bona's A Walk Through Combinatorics[0]. Combinatorics is intuitive and approachable to begin with, and this book is particularly accessible as far as math texts go. [0] - https://people.clas.ufl.edu/bona/books/
on “Ask HN: What kind of math do you study in your free time?” ↗> - Gallian, Contemporary Abstract Algebra That is an amazing book. I will also recommend "A walk through combinatorics" by Miklos Bona for simple explanations and well made exercises with solutions present in the book itself.
on “Higher Math for Beginners (1987)” ↗Unfortunately I can provide only few examples of such textbooks, they're quite rare. "Probability" by David Morin "Walk Through Combinatorics, A: An Introduction To Enumeration And Graph Theory" by Miklós Bóna
on “Start Doing Graph Theory” ↗…Graph Theory and Combinatorics. These are I think are somewhat more accessible than the others (perhaps at least more intuitive), so I might actually recommend trying these first. For the basics, try A Walk Through Combinatorics by Miklos Bona. By the way, whenever I need to find a textbook on a subject, I just Google "best (subject) textbook", and try to find the Math Stack Exchange post where someone has asked this question.…
