This is a legendary work by the famed Swiss expert on guerrilla warfare, Major H. von Dach. Survivalists have rediscovered this important study on resistance and underground operations, some making it the keystone of their libraries. Well-written and illustrated with easy-to-understand drawings, Total Resistance analyzes and overviews the techniques needed to overcome an invading force, formation of guerrilla units, weapons, food and medical considerations, ambushes, sabotage and much more.

…it's pretty clear the system is changing. I'd also add that there's lots of evidence many in the Swiss establishment were concerned about an invasion by the Soviets post-WWII (e.g. http://www.amazon.com/Total-Resistance-H-Von-Dach/dp/0873640... which is highly recommended), and as a child of the Cold War myself, over in the US, I don't think that concern was unwarranted. If the law is still requiring nuclear hardened…
on “If Switzerland is attacked, it is literally rigged to blow up.” ↗…check out this book written after the brutal suppression of the 1956 Hungarian revolution by a Swiss officer at the behest of the nation's Non-commissioned Officer's Association : http://www.amazon.com/Total-Resistance-H-Von-Dach/dp/0873640... If our betters try this sort of stunt, they'll experience Total Resistance, alright.
on “The $1,200 Machine That Lets Anyone Make a Metal Gun at Home” ↗…does need the missile capability to take out aircraft and shipping. Taiwan would do well to create a citizen army trained and equipped to make life very difficult for an invading army as did the Swiss: Total Resistance by Hans von Dach: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_Resistance_(book)
on “Could the U.S. Lose a War with China over Taiwan?” ↗…course the new wave of "prepper" thought and literature that's no doubt worth checking out that might cover things like that): http://www.amazon.com/Bad-Times-Primer-Complete-Survival/dp/... Finally, Total Resistance http://www.amazon.com/Total-Resistance-H-Von-Dach/dp/0873640... is the manual on sane armed resistance and such, commissioned by the Swiss Non-commissioned Officer's Association, very Swiss vs. USSR invasion…
on “How the Apocalypse Will Bring Out the Best in People” ↗Reminds me of Total Resistance[0], written for the Swiss population in case of occupation by Warsaw Pact forces. Besides the sections on guerrilla warfare tactics, there's also section civil disobedience. Generally this involves workers…
on “The CIA’s 1944 Simple Sabotage Field Manual (2015)” ↗…include Switzerland bulking up its heavy forces in response). Very bloody minded: give the indefensible lowland big cities to the enemy (where per the book I linked to previously, the citizens practice "Total Resistance" using among other things those decommissioned from military service older rifles), and retreat to the mountainous country and make the enemy pay for every foot they gain, with little more than bullets…
on “If Switzerland is attacked, it is literally rigged to blow up.” ↗Way back when, I used this book (along with Total Resistance and Che Guevara's Guerilla Warfare) as primary sources for a speculative paper submitted for a history course. Got an A for the paper, but my instructor was more surprised about where/how I was able to…
on “Minimanual of the Urban Guerrilla” ↗…just in case it is in fact a listening post - people have landed on no-fly lists for stupid reasons before now. (Weirdly enough, during the Cold War, Switzerland quite officially published a book called Total Resistance (Der Totale Widerstand) and made it available in at least some public libraries. It was a basically a manual of "how to become a ~~terrorist~~ resistance fighter if the Soviets invade".) > confidence…
