…incomplete. Also missing is James Tiptree Jr. (Alice Sheldon), who was Le Guin's mentor (read her Love Is The Plan The Plan Is Death, it'll stay with you for weeks.) Also a series I really enjoyed is Chalker's Four Lords of the Diamond Series, very creative.
on “The Best Science Fiction Books (According to Reddit)” ↗Yep, the Warden Diamond has been verified (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_Lords_of_the_Diamond)! Very imaginative and gripping series that I totally recommend.
on “A Four Planet System in Orbit, Directly Imaged and Remarkable” ↗…“New Wave” that ran from maybe 1960-1980, once the 1980s came around you had Tor Press which was consciously right-wing and published books like Ender’s Game, Forge of God, etc. I recently re-read The Four Lords of the Diamond, which I see as pro-war even if it ends very badly for humans.
on “Is there sci-fi series that's pro war, militarism, collectivism, imperialism?” ↗
