> Who's been selling this and why??? The New York Intellectuals, who were connected to the Frankfurt School, who got the baton from Psychoanalysis. Read The Culture Of Critique by Kevin Macdonald and you will have precisely your answer.
on “New human-like species discovered” ↗"The Culture of Critique" - Kevin MacDonald Very challenging book. Not recommended for the feint of heart, easily offended, or closed-minded.
on “Ask HN: What books changed the way you think about almost everything?” ↗Culture of Critique
on “Ask HN: What Books helped you sharpen your brains?” ↗…recommend that you look up these keywords to learn more about the behaviors you have rightfully noticed. If you're interested in information with scholarly citations about this subject I recommend The Culture of Critique, it's a book that will open your eyes. I'd be willing to send you the book for free if you don't want to pay for it. That's because when I find people that seem to be on to the truth (like you), I give…
on “Why Is Stoicism Having a Cultural Moment?” ↗Some books deserve to be banned. I would put Kevin MacDonald's antisemitic trilogy The Culture of Critique, the Turner Diaries ( which calls for mass extermination of non-white groups in the USA ) and Mein Kampf in the realm of books that should be shunned.
on “Banned Book Library in a Wi-Fi Smart Light Bulb” ↗…people that report others to the firemen in the book, very similar to how content is censored these days. Goodreads will list any book for the time being, even ones banned from Amazon. One example is The Culture of Critique - the link to Amazon goes to a broken page, but links to buy it from other vendors remain. on “Ask HN: Books you read in 2016?” ↗…Further, they are often assigned reading in high school or university literature classes. A thought experiment by comparison: what if the collection consisted of the following? - The Camp of the Saints - Culture of Critique - The Turner Diaries Until a recent reprint of the first title (which thanks to The Streisand Effect was one of the top sellers on Amazon), these were all almost impossible to find and / or prohibitively…
on “Banned Book Library in a Wi-Fi Smart Light Bulb” ↗I get the overall idea of what CRT is and it's basically in the same vein as for example The Culture of Critique. Some of it might be fair points, to some of it I have strong objections, but the bottom line is that children are not mentally and emotionally mature enough to deal with subjects like that. Hell, the…
on “Types of propaganda, propaganda techniques, and propaganda strategies (2017)” ↗…paranoid white guys by making them more and more comfortable with the things you're "wading through" right now. If you aren't wary five years from now you'll be a paranoid mess staying up at night reading Culture of Critique and sending pdfs of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion to your buddies. Saw it happen to a "libertarian" friend of my husband. Guy went from relatively normal to belonging on an FBI watch list.
on “As Europe falls into recession, Russia climbs out” ↗The reliability of Psychology throughout the 20th century is covered in depth in the book The Culture of Critique, where the exact persons responsible for fostering in Psychology an anti-Science environment are discussed.
on “We found only one-third of published psychology research is reliable – now what?” ↗>- The Camp of the Saints >- Culture of Critique >- The Turner Diaries Actual banned books. So of course your comment is flagged. Groupthink censorship is still censorship.
