If you have any interest in NES or video game history, and you haven't read "Super Mario" by Jeff Ryan, get it. I first read it about 10 years ago, but it was one of the most interesting books I'd read and should be evergreen. I also bought the audiobook, which is phenomenal. Read by the…
on “What made the NES so interesting?” ↗Really good book for those wanting more on Nintendo history: http://www.amazon.com/Super-Mario-Nintendo-Conquered-America... I just finished the audio version during workouts, while it was not _thrilling_ it was definitely interesting
on “Miyamoto Admits Nintendo Underestimated The Switch To HD” ↗…think this is Nintendo's death. Their IP will keep the company going. For anyone interested in the story of Nintendo (or just enjoys gaming history in general) this is a fun read: http://www.amazon.com/Super-Mario-Nintendo-Conquered-America... (or listen for commute/jogging)

[1]: The book "Super Mario: How Nintendo Conquered America" by Jeff Ryan was incredibly fascinating if you're interested in the history and "inside story" of Nintendo in their early days. Can't recommend enough. Narrated by the…
on “Nintendo sued for “immoral” Mario Kart lootboxes” ↗Kind of off topic, but it's a real shame that Nintendo is so aggressively proprietary and litigious. If you read the (excellent) book "Super Mario: How Nintendo Conquered America" by Jeff Ryan, you'll see that Nintendo is that to its core and always has been, so I don't expect a change. But it's one of the big tragedies of the world IMHO.
