…CBT information and exercises. I would also recommend "Managing Your Mind" (Butler and Hope). Another approach called "Acceptance and Commitment Therapy" has showed some promise in research. The book "Get Out of Your Mind and Into Your Life" (Hayes) was written by the person who developed ACT. Another good workbook on the subject is "The Mindfulness and Acceptance Workbook for Anxiety" (Forsyth and Eifert).

…panic, boredom etc. There is a formal therapy that has been developed around this idea called ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). The founder of it, Stephen Hayes, wrote a practical book on it titled "Get Out of Your Mind and Into Your Life" which is worth reading. Russ Harris is also a pretty active writer in this area and has several books on the subject. Procrastination-wise Timothy Pychyl's book "Solving the Procrastination Puzzle" is…

It seems like it sometimes. Therapy is good. If you can't make it or want to try something self-paced -- I like "Get Out of Your Mind and Into Your Life" by Steven Hayes. The one with the workbook. It's ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). CBT is good as well. If you have a mountain or hill nearby, go bike, walk, hike, run, climb up it. Just you…

…amazing how fast, and how frequent, you get some kind of epiphany or eureka moment. Then do numbers or study your answers with a rational mindset. Values are also and awesome and usually unknown compass. "Get out of your mind and into your life" from Steven Hayes has a great definition of what values are. It's a great book, I know about it from hackernews. This book also tells a interesting idea. Some times you don't have to decide, you have…

There is a good self help workbook "Get out of your mind and into your life". 4) Internet blocker: I was unhappy with with Leechblock as its approach was a bit authoritarian.
