"With the constant connectivity of today's world, it's never been easier to meet people and make new friends-but it's never been harder to form meaningful friendships. In Frientimacy, award-winning speaker Shasta Nelson shows how anyone can form stronger, more meaningful friendships, marked by a level of trust she calls "frientimacy." Shasta explores the ten most common complaints and conflicts facing female friendships today, and lays out strategies for overcoming these pitfalls to create deeper, supportive relationships that last for the long-term. Shasta is the founder of girlfriendcircles.

…The second part is more about specific situations like your friend is very ill or you have to decline being a bridesmaid. I recommend it as the concepts explanation might be helpful. I’ve not yet read “Frientimacy”, and it seems to be a similar book. https://www.amazon.com/Art-Showing-Up-Yourself-People/dp/161... https://www.amazon.com/-/Shasta-Nelson/dp/1580056075

…strengthen commitment, etc. Honestly, it's all the same stuff that a romantic relationships requires, just with a couple significant variations ;) A helpful corollary (from writer Shasta Nelson author of "Frientimacy") is that we all understand that working out requires some amount of pain and struggle (also fun, enjoyment, accomplishment, etc...) in order to get a great bod. We would do well to expect the same experience…
